Pastor James and Jewels Montgomery

Pastor James "PJ" Montgomery is the Senior Pastor of Freedom Pointe Church Hawaii. A native of Waco Texas, Pastor James was brought up in the church and has been in ministry for more than 25 years. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. While enlisted, he also served as Senior Pastor, Air Force Contracted Chaplain, and planted several churches in Japan and the Republic of Panama. Pastor James is an Evangelist at heart. And his passion comes through as he preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor James agrees that the “foolishness of Preaching” is absolutely essential for the end-time church (1 Corinthians 1:21). He partners with Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver soul-stirring, thought-provoking, and life-changing messages of hope, love, grace, and the favor of God week-after-week. He teams with his beautiful wife Jewels. And “AsOne” they believe that their marriage and ministering together will continue to be an effective witness for Christ while impacting their personal communities and beyond.

We strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city and the world find FREEDOM!

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the FREEDOM of Jesus Christ.
